04/23/09 STL Software for free
The netfabb® Studio software from Fruth Innovative Technologien GmbH is a brand new software for handling of stl and slice file data for 3D Printing and Rapid Manufacturing.
netfabb® Studio is compact and with only a few megabytes it allows for a quick download. The BASIC version provide a basic slicing module that allows pack-and-slice functionality of single parts for a number of additive manufacturing machines on the market.
04/03/09 FIT announce ISO 13485:2003 + Ac:2007 certification
FIT – Fruth Innovative Technologien GmbH, in Germany, today announced that they have reached cerification and compliance with the EN ISO 13485:2003 + AC:2007 requirements for regulatory purposes for the design, development and production of medical implants for orthopedic applications and bone replacement material.
”This qualifies FIT as a certified supplier of orthopedic implants and bone replacement material for implant companies worldwide.” says Carl Fruth, owner and CEO of FIT GmbH.
We are looking forward to grow our business in these very interesting applications for additive fabrication. There are several categories of implants that fits our production facilities and we have the capability of manufacturing medical implants and instruments in titanium, cobalt-chrome alloys and stainless steel. Our production line feature both DMLS, EBM and milling. Our objective is to establish FIT as a qualified subcontractor to original implant manufacturers wordwide.

Despite the worldwide economic downturn the 15th Euromold was a complete
success for the FIT GmbH and we had the pleasure of welcoming more than 300
visitors to our new booth.
For many years FIT GmbH has been known as a premier service company for
rapid prototyping and rapid tooling services. However, totally new at
Euromold was the first presentation of our new developed Selective Space
Structures software. (www.selective-space-structures.com)
As an eye catcher, we also had the 3.5 m tall tree, the largest object so
far being built using laser sintering technology and an art object from the
United Artists of FIT.
The tree was completely constructed in Selective Space Structures and was
the most photographed object of Euromold the 2008 The history of the art
object can be found here.
The interest in the new 3S software has overwhelmed us, says the CEO Carl
Fruth: “The newly developed 3S-based structure design software convinced
many tool manufacturers that there is now a cost efficient way to design and
build highly complex cooling and heating channels in tools. More than 50
requests for the 3S software is the evidence of an unusually high interest.
11/08/08 FIT launches new software solutions for Additve Manufacturing
The first comercial avaliable module in the netfabb Software is 3S. With the selective space strucures solid objects can be turned in complex lattice structures.
The new human interfaces makes it easy to operate.
Netfabb outputs slice data in the native formats CLI SLI SLC SSL and others. A lot of machines can be used to produce parts with 3S.
For very easy lattice structures with less complexity the output can be done in the common STL format.

FIT Fruth Innovative Technologien in Germany has engaged Ulf Lindhe, former head of Sales and Marketing at Arcam AB, to assume the position as Manager of International Business Development. The clear purpose of the assignment is to grow the software and rapid manufacturing business of FIT outside Germany. --press release

Our structured-pig was an eyecatcher again. It leads to interesting discussions about the production and possible applications of structures in metal and platic! Our structure generator is now commercial available.
Besides our classic services, the visitors have seen the new material for the SelectiveMaskSintering series process.
The absolute highlight was NETFABB!
A new revolutionary system for the production of rapid protoyping parts in plastic and metal.
Cost advantage and simple operation are the main advantages of the new platform.
More than 2.500 netfabb-CD\'s were hand out to potential users. We got two registrations on the first day of the fair.
At the moment netfabb is in demo modus for useres. In march 2008 we will switch into regular business.

12/07/06 Euromold 2006
A highlight at the Euromold 2006 was the presentation of a "sucking-pig at grill". The model was made up of different and complex structures. This is possible through a newly developed software for creation of selective structures. For our customers we offer that addon value for parts and tool applications.
